Open Explorer is an open-source file manager designed for all Android devices, including tablets, large phones, small phones, and Google TV. It offers comprehensive file system management, support for USB, SD, and other external media, and automatic detection and installation of BusyBox. The app is network connectable with options like FTP, SFTP, SMB/Samba/Windows/Lan/WIFI connections, as well as cloud connectivity supporting multiple cloud services such as Box, Dropbox, and Drive.

Some key features of Open Explorer include a text editor with tabbed interface, smart folders that scan for different types of media (videos, photos, music, downloads), view pager directory navigation for easy access to different folders, and the ability for superuser/root to read/write system folders.

The app also includes a disk space heat map to visualize the distribution of files on your device and supports browsing or extracting files from common archives like Zip, Tar, TGZip, BZip2, 7zip, and RAR.
